4th of July Artwork

We love the 4th of July and we love art so OF COURSE we made a little something!

Nevaeh made this cute star. I am kind of obsessed with it and it will probably be a piece of artwork that I frame. She used a pencil to draw half of a star shape and then added blobs of paint within the pencil lines. When she was done adding paint, she folded the paper in half and, that easily, she made this star!

Peyton, Sylas, and Josie made fireworks using paint and toilet paper rolls.

I cut the toilet paper rolls to look like this:

I just cut about halfway up and went all the way around the roll. The kids dipped the cut end into paint (we did red, white, and blue) and then stamped it onto the paper. Peyton’s turned out really cool! Sylas’ and Josie’s were cool, too, but more just smeared paint on the paper.

After they were done, I sprinkled glitter on them before the paint dried. Somehow I forgot to take a picture of them with glitter, though.

We will be working on another 4th of July craft today. I’ll post that one when we are done!

Are you doing any 4th of July crafts with your littles? I would love to see them!
